Are we making progress?

Local authorities are mandated to collect, handle, and dispose of domestic waste from all households, and to ensure an equitable service to their communities.  Gauteng, Western Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal service the greatest number of households, while the Western Cape, Gauteng, and the Northern Cape service the greatest proportion of households in their provinces.
